New Fantasy Press is a young fantasy magazine that aims to rejuvenate and innovate the fantasy genre. This does not mean that we believe that the fantasy genre is going through a bad patch. Rather the opposite, fantasy is ever more popular and more and more high-quality fantasy authors find their way to the reader.
So what do we believe?
Fantasy has undergone a number of radical paradigm shifts in recent years and we expect that these changes will present itself at an accelerated pace due to the increasing popularity of the world wide web. Fantasy will be more and more driven by the needs and preferences of the reader, rather than by the established publishing companies. New Fantasy Press is looking to be at the forefront of these paradigm shifts.
New Fantasy Press is looking for cutting-edge fantasy, identifying (and hopefully creating) new trends in fantasy writing. While we prefer character-driven stories, dazzle us with the weird, the innovative and the new spin on the old.
